The Evolution of Creation I

We often think of moral virtue as being tied directly to belief in a higher power that makes it so. Therefore, we often think that those who do not participate in our beliefs are low in moral virtue. I am sure most of us can refute this argument in our minds without a second blink. But the point of my digression here is to do exactly that.

Is god required for a moral society to exist? I use to think and 'believe' so - more than many of you do now. But this is not accurate nor healthy thinking. Here is why.

The ancient Greek civilization documented numerous philosophical dialogs and lectures on human virtue and why it was essential for not only the individual, but for society as a whole to be virtuous. They even explored means to achieve this. And they were polytheistic - believing in gods that we now view as mythological.

At later points and in other posts, I will look further at this, but suffice it for now that two of the greatest Greek philosophers, particularly their works, serve as a central foundation for most Christian and Muslim doctrine today. They were Plato and Aristotle, of course.

For now, that leaves us with the knowledge that it takes more than god to be morally virtuous.

Alone On Wednesday

the sky shone translucent gray
gray in its blue
it surrounded me as a globe cover
Opaque to what hid beyond
though in between were trees

their outstretched pain yearning
to be held, by stiff darkness
and almost black against
slate covering
background

to the golden flame
burning brightly in front of them,
my fire was nuclear
with energy
all alone on a sundeck in wilderness

State Control

America. Where is our greatness today? Or does it lie only in Washington, Jefferson, and Hamilton? Or should I include Madison, Jackson, and Lincoln too? All very great in my mind as American Patriots and the very greatest of leaders and founders of the greatest creation to date by the mind of man. It is a wonder it ever worked, and I am sure each of the greats above would say they had their doubts. If you do not understand why Hamilton is listed, then please review your American history. I seriously think that if you do not see him as significant in the success and perpetuation of this country, then you should read the Federalist papers which on their own, formed the foundation of this country's Constitution. To understand the Constitution and the principles by which we stand as one country, one must have a read and a clear understanding of the Federalist papers. This is a profound series of documents that every American should know and comprehend well. And they should do so, and be able to see the profound connection these documents have with the Constitution of the United States of America as we know it today.

But from this point it starts to get ugly. Much like anything else that grows, a concept does much the same. It matures, withers, and dies. We are in the withering stage.

Consider what America was meant to be. Review our history. It is an American's heritage that rests within the diatribes of powerful History. And it should be read and understood and accepted by Everyone, for it stands alone as the greatest Act by man for Humanity. We are part of the greatest experiment in History - Human Autonomy.

Believe in OneSelf, only because you have the grant to believe anything you want! The empowerment to do so is all anyone wants. In America, this is Your Right!

Propaganda Always Lies

When the news media espouses personal opinions over truth, this only befuddles the public rational. The Press is only valued when it expresses facts. Anything else, is propaganda.

Understand Me

i have to believe it is time to re-load and fire at will
it is time that the weak and feeble gain strength to rise
once more upon the Freedom and all Jefferson instilled
to protect one thing - the eternal Democratic Republic

who knows anymore
than the few,
what WE are?
but this is always where we must strive to be

America

God bless You!

Imaginary

How I wonder what she is
Her smile
Her taste
When we kiss
It is at best

A wonder what
It always is
a wonder
 if she ever has

I would think
to win
would certainly require
much

yes,
surely
she must have done this

to all
I think she dazzles
as a princess
as a beauty
as a charm
one to behold
of regal and divine
 throw
she is a lady, God
let us go from here

as all goddesses are one
she is all

her charm demands no less
of clever beauty
than her love and all its worth

of all I learn of her
I want
of her I think in constant
thought of her
of being prince to her
and being more
than that
as no one is
to anyone in love
with someone else
they love beyond all want

is a fairy tale

Equality and Freedom - 1

does A = B?

Secret Self

in such poor way
a poem carves truth
it portrays then betrays
through quiet contrivance
all benevolence
its truest love -

through deserted distance

Whiskey and Rye

As far as NOW is concerned, we need to worry more about 'will the good guys develop the next Super Weapon first'. It is about time to be concerned that something new will happen. It will probably occur within our life time. iPhones add to us but they are an example of what has been lost, too.

Alone on crossroads looking for dust, and then driving fast, far and away. I think it was better then, when we knew more than them. But then, everything changed with what began as one peculiar observation - amplification.

So here we are in an Internet far away from ourselves.

It does not have to be like this. One can walk away from the rest and sit on some back deck in a lost space and light a fire and pour some Soul and amplify alone.

or maybe we can imagine
in a very hopeful way
even a desperate way
we will all see the day
when this is no longer a concern

Years

more than now
more than ever,
she is my life
too much time
too much heart
has done all this
time
which is nothing

has taken all of us
and is that cement
that bonds us
forever

Privacy and Silence

It was Now. An Xbox 360 made me realize what I had lost to technology, in exchange for less pain. And yet, more suffering. Not only for myself, but for the many, We have lost our humanity. These new  devices scan our every movement documenting in detail what fools we are.

For robots now control the realm of all reality - human existence. All done in the name of a game.

lol
I can not believe this happened so fast, nor as well as it has.
A good woman can cure most ailments by her presence. Never under-estimate this importance. Any one individual might see you as more than you would think. Accommodate and you will always please the good and the bad, but mostly the desperate. The Power of Woman is awesome to Man.
